In loving memory of Kit Heath
(1956–2025)
It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our founder, Kit Heath.
Kit, who was diagnosed with brain cancer in July, passed away peacefully on Friday 26 September. He spent his final weeks at home, lovingly cared for by his family, who were by his side throughout.
Kit was known for his charm, charisma, and trailblazing spirit, which helped bring silver jewellery and retail customer service to a new level in the 1980s. A true pioneer in the UK jewellery industry, he combined creative vision with an unwavering passion for beautifully designed sterling silver. Over the years, he built a brand that became synonymous with quality, elegance, and contemporary British design.
In recent years, Kit had stepped back from the day-to-day running of the business, with leadership transitioning to his sister, Katie Nickell. Under her direction, the company continues to grow and evolve, while staying true to the values and spirit that Kit established.
“Kit’s legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of everything we do,” says his sister, Katie Nickell, Managing Director. “We remain committed to honouring my brother’s vision, and to continuing the journey he started with the same care, integrity, and passion.”
Kit is survived by his wife, Lizzie, and their four children, Annabel, Ollie, Alex and Mimi. The Kit Heath team wishes to thank the jewellery trade community for its continued support during this reflective time.
